It's boat race day!

Yup, its time for what likes to call itself "The Boat Race" but to be a bit more accurate its the annual Cambridge vs. Oxford University Boat Race sponsored by Xchanging.

I've just gone for a run along Putney Embankment and the preparations were well under way, with lots of "testing, testing..." going on.

Good luck Cambridge!

Woo hoo! Thanks for reminding me. I see it's going to be covered live on BBC America so I'm all set.

Go Cambridge!

Woo hoo! The BBC America pre-race coverage had a fascinating piece about the history of sewage in the Thames at London. Wonderfully evocative pictures. Just wish we had smell-o-vision. Then they had Oz Clarke talking about how he trained for the Oxford wine tasting team. Great stuff.

I got so excited by the pre-race coverage I had to take a nap. Was there a race in the end?

The sewage bit was pretty good....wow not often you get to say that.

As to the race.... did I tell you about my new camera? Alas have yet to work out the video settings, so there is no YouTube upload.
