Message from the coastguards to all those enjoying water sports this weekend - lets be careful out there!For this long weekend 700 of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency staff are going on strike from tonight for 48 hours, protesting at a starting salary which is currently the extremely low £ 12,500 (fair enough if you ask me).
There will still be the RNLI lifeboats but the coordination centres will be on reduced staff.
