    Wow. makes you realise how bad it is. Is London safe?!

    Central London is safe as the Thames Barrier can be used to manage water levels by halting the incoming tide where necessary (see previous posts).

    However the outskirts of London above the lock at Teddington are not so protected and have been flooded quite badly.
