O'Docker: I was surprised to find out that the connecting thing does actually market their own range of mugs, but for tea not coffee. Much more British.
Talking of tea or coffee mugs, I was surprised to find out that the photographer who took photos of the runners at my race on Sunday is not only selling photos on paper but will also sell us images of ourselves on mugs.
Maybe I should buy a few Tillerman coffee mugs to offer as prizes for impossible photo quizzes on my blog. Or would you prefer me on an iPad case, a water bottle, or a canvas bag? The possibilities are endless.
They are all in London.
ReplyDeleteBoth scenes are from coffee mugs in your personal collection.
ReplyDeleteTillerman is correct but not helpful.

JP, it's your job, not mine, to be helpful.

One of the words in my last comment was a clue: do you need another already?
ReplyDeleteThe connection is one of the following….
ReplyDeleteDocker
Surprise
Market
Range
Tea
Coffee
British
Mug
Thing
O
It was one of those in the 2nd half of the list
ReplyDeleteThey are all British.
ReplyDeleteBritish is the right word!
ReplyDeleteKeep going in that direction....
Well Britain is east of where I am now, so if I keep going east I will get to the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Belarus….
ReplyDeleteAm I getting warm yet?
They have all appeared on the BBC.
ReplyDeleteNearly everything has appeared on the BBC.
ReplyDeleteAnother clue: the shadowing shape in the middle of the top photo is a signature of that band
So I now have 3 correct answers - London, British and BBC - and still you torture me for more?
ReplyDeleteEliza and the Bear
ReplyDeleteGrizzly Bear
Minus the Bear
Bear Feet
ReplyDeleteBear Bones
Bear Naked Ladies
So what band is associated with the word British and has a bear on stage, and how could that be related to the Fighting Temeraire?
ReplyDeleteBritish Sea Power
ReplyDeleteCorrect!
ReplyDeleteI think that deserves a celebratory mug of tea before trying the more difficult additional question.
There is indeed a British Tea Power range of mugs available should you want one.
And British Sea Power, Wild Beasts and Editors have all won the Mercury Prize.
ReplyDeleteThat's not what's written on the answer card but its good enough for a bonus point and clue.
ReplyDeleteBSP supported Editors at their concert in November.
Who supported both BSP and Wild Beasts at their recent gigs?
Apparently, one of the band's songs is Perspectives of Stinky Turner.
ReplyDeleteBritish Airways?
ReplyDeleteEast India Youth
ReplyDeleteIt's a good job I didn't leave doing my taxes until today!!!
ReplyDeleteCorrect!
ReplyDeleteThere would be no East India Youth without the East India Docks.
And there would have been no East India Docks without British sea power.
The BSP song titles are great:
- Oh Larson B
- North Hanging Rock
- Great Skua
etc
I have to confess I don't know any of these bands or their music but I will have to check them out now.
ReplyDeleteYou can lead a Tillerman to the answer but you can't make him drink tea.
ReplyDeleteUnless he feels like drinking tea anyways.
ReplyDeleteUnless he feels like drinking tea anyways.
ReplyDeleteLove the exhibit review, by the way.
ReplyDeleteLove the exhibit review, by the way.
ReplyDeleteLove the exhibit review, by the way.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bonnie, Bonnie & Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteTillerman: I might post some suggestions for downloads for each of the three bands.
