Thanks for posting about this. I had no idea about the history of the Thames Tunnel until I started investigating what your picture might be.
I have a post all prepared on its history with a couple more photos.It was a rather remarkable walk through. Its incredible how old the tunnel actually is, and its still in use - which is why its so rare to get a chance to visit.
