Ben Ainslie and Catsgore

Couple of mid week quick questions:

1. In the Vendee Globe, has the current leader Armel gone too far east & is about to fall into a wind hole watching the others go zooming by?

2. Now that Ben Ainslie has announced he is focussing on AC rather than Olympics, what does that actually mean? I understood he's not actually skippering an AC72 next summer

3. We've been having floods here in the UK, and the village of Muchelney in Somerset has been cut off. In Google Earth I spotted a number of really good place names nearby, but which of the following was made up:
  • Curry North
  • High Ham
  • Queen Camel
  • Tintinhull
  • Catsgore?

3. None of those names are made up.

2. Ben is sailing with the yanks in this AC. He will steal all their secrets and then lead Britain in 3 decades of AC domination.

1. Is Armel a made-up name?

Checked Google Maps and Dr. Tillerman appears correct. All of those places are in close proximity to Beer Wood, High Ham, Fryingpan Copse, Lower Odcombe, Mudford Sock, and Ham Curry.

Tillerman is a made up name.

Ham doesn't necessarily lend itself well to curry. Now chicken....that's another fish to fry.

Quick Curried Ham

1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tbsp. green pepper
1 can cream soup (chicken, celery or mushroom)
3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. mayonnaise
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. curry
Leftover ham, cubed
Hot rice

In skillet, melt butter, saute onion and green pepper until tender but not brown. Stir in soup, milk and mayonnaise. Add ham and curry. Serve over hot rice.

Tillerman is correct. I was going to add an invented name but didn't think I could come up with anything as good, though O'Docker seemed to have got the spirit.

That sounds like a Cliff Clavin ham curry recipe to me. Hopefully Baydog can give us a better one involving chicken or fish.
